Kim was given a list of English speaking lawyers by the Australian embassy. Mum has been in contact with John Rochlin (an Australian) and things are in motion. Email 1 is from Mum to Nina and Email 2 is from the Lawyer to Mum
Email 1
A woman within his firm has the criminal experience but not good English and he would be present at interviews. He is not registered in the Spanish Legal System to actually appear in court.
He is going to arrange a visit to her but the prison may not allow this as she already has a court appointed lawyer. It maybe that he has to paid out for his work first before another lawyer can be engaged. He seemed a pleasant fellow and will email me as soon as he knows about access. He asked a lot of questions about her background and the actual crime. He then told me what we already knew, that this would be a difficult case and she could well be looking at 9 years or so.He also said that the level of English in the Barcelona legal world was very low.
[Dear ,
We have phoned the prison, and we have an appointment with the Director next Thursday 25th at noon. After that we should be able to see Kim.
I'll keep you informed.
Yours sincerely
John Rochlin]

Hi all again,
I have contacted some friends in Spain and here regarding the task of looking for a good lawyer who can speak English and is specialized in this kind of cases, and after several dead-ends, I got an answer from one of my contacts, so I think if Kim doesn't have a good lawyer yet, these could be possibilities to consider.
I dont know, maybe David, Vincenzo or the family could pass this onto her.

Hi again,
I still don't know if Kim has a good lawyer, but through one of my contacts I receibed an email from the vice-consul of Spain in Florida, and he recommended this lawyer, apparently she an expert in penal cases and a former prosecuting
attorney., and also she is a WOMAN, which I think may be really interesting.
I copy below her contact info, and maybe someone could pass it to Kim.
This is part of the email I received. It is Spanish, but you all can still see her contact info
